1. Purpose
The Request Money functionality is designed for Modak Card holders. Modak is a financial technology company and not a bank. Checking accounts and the Modak Visa Debit Cards are provided and issued by Lewis & Clark Bank, Member FDIC. Credit Cards are issued by Central Bank of Weir. The card usage is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in the Modak Terms of Service and the respective cardholder agreement. The Request Money feature empowers friends, family members, and employers to send various forms of support, including rewards, allowances, and payments, to the Modak Account of the cardholder. This functionality is not limited to a specific type of transaction and offers a flexible way for individuals to contribute to the cardholder's Modak Account.
2. Payment methods
Cardholders can easily add money to their Modak account using the payment link.Supported payment methods include debit card, credit card, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
The process mirrors the simplicity of the “Instant transfer” experience in the parent portal.
3.Requesting Money
If a cardholder uses the Request Money sharing feature, they can use the Modak Services to generate a link “Request Money” to a payment acceptance page, shareable for payments directly to their accounts.Cardholders can request money from friends and family through a personalized payment link.The link can be used once for an amount specified by the cardholder, ensuring security and control.Links accessed via a Modak created QR code do not expire and may be reused by anyone with the QR code.
4. Request Details
Each request includes a specific amount (required) and an optional note for context.Money requests can be sent through the cardholder's chosen social media platform, SMS, or by copying the link and sharing it.
5. Payment Request Status
The "Payment Requests" experience provides an overview of request statuses:Paid, Not Paid, Payment in Progress
6. Type of payment links
The “Request money” can be made through a generic QR code or link.The link with QR can be used multiple times without an expiration date.Requests can be shared via scanning QR codes, social media platforms, or by copying the link.
7. Notifications
Users of the “Request Money” have the option to add their email address for a detailed payment confirmation.The confirmation includes information such as the amount, date, time, and type of card used.
8. Authorized Transactions
The use of the “Request Money” feature within the Modak website, www.modakmakers.com (the "Website"), the Modak application for mobile devices (the "Modak Makers"), and the Modak Services, is subject to your compliance with these Request Money Terms and Conditions (the " Request Money Terms").
9. Fees
- There are no direct fees associated with receiving "Request Money" transactions.
- The sender may incur applicable fees based on the chosen payment method, which will be clearly communicated both during and after the payment transaction.
10. Limits on Request Money Transactions
Modak reserves the right to establish limits on dollar amounts and/or the number of Request Money transactions for security reasons. Users will be notified of these limits during the payment transaction process.
11. Refunds All transactions undergo rigorous authorization processes, including the inclusion of 3D Secure (3DS). Following sender approval, refunds are generally not feasible.
12. Representations and Warranties of Users in 'Request Money' Transactions
All provided personal information must be accurate, complete, and verifiable. Failure to comply may lead to transaction declines or the Cardholder's account being blocked.
13. Privacy
Users agree to Modak's Privacy Policy for handling personal information."Users acknowledge potential risks in internet transmissions and are encouraged to avoid public Wi-Fi networks and refrain from sharing personal information to enhance security."
14. Conflicts and or disputes
Modak is not responsible for aspects of accounts, products, or services provided by issuers or third parties.Users must resolve issues and disputes directly with the relevant issuer or third party.

16. Modification of Terms
Modak reserves the right to revise these terms at any time. When we do, we will post the change(s) on the Site. These terms and conditions were last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Site and the Services after any changes or revisions to these terms shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised terms.
17. Termination
Modak may terminate Cardholder access to the payment link if these Terms are violated.
